Our enquiries about borer have increased this season as it now seems to be a standard part of a building inspection and is also becoming a common condition of house sales.

Borer treatments can be needed in various areas of your house, i.e, under floor, roof cavity, interior and exterior.
As a guide, these treatments vary in price from $800 upwards.
We have two different treatments available. Firstly, a wet spray application which is a one off application that needs to be applied to untreated or stripped wood. This treatment also involves removing any insulation before treatment, and allowing a few days after treatment before it is replaced.
The second option is using a gas (similar to borer bombs), for which you would need to vacate the premises for a day. This treatment also needs to be repeated every year (ideally between October and March), for 7 to 10 years.
